Ausstellung / Exhibition Katrin von Lehmann & Renate Wiedemann
24.09.2011 – 21.10.2011

The juxtaposition of the two artistic positions of Katrin von Lehmann and Renate Wiedemann could be subtitled with ‚STILL‘: the German word ’still‘ like  ’silent‘,  ‚cautious‘ but also ’still‘ derived from ‚video still‘: snap-shots from a documentation of time- or work-based processes, in contrast to the video-still completely analogue – sensual – spatial – touchable. While Katrin von Lehmanns condensed paper foldings give a face to measured processes  the organic sculptures and word-elements of Renate Wiedemann make the layers of the creative process both perceivable and approachable. The sensuality of their search for the appropriate form and format is the common ground of both Artists and from the ’stills‘ of their respective creative processes their work is entering a subtle and nevertheless insistent dialogue.
