Wie funktioniert TEASI-Artists’ Laboratory? // How does TEASI-Artists’ Laboratory work?

TEASI-ARTISTS LABORATORY is the exhibition series initiated by Susanne Kienbaum since 2010.

Viewed from outside both the exhibition space – K: S-p-a-c-e Berlin – and the exhibitions theirselves appear more like a gallery than a studio situation. However, internally the exhibitions projects are rather functioning like a temporary production gallery: all work apart from the gallery-typical work – hanging  etc – is shared according to joint project team meetings.

Currently the curatorial work is shared within the respective project team, the final responsibility lies with Susanne Kienbaum. For the future it is planned to share project-related public relation work and other curatorial duties with an external curator or galerist, respective requests are highly welcome!

Wie funktioniert der ‘TEASI-Exchange’? // How does a ‚TEASI-Exchange’ work?

TEASI-ARTISTS make allies among each other through a so-called TEASI-EXCHANGE, i.e., after having engaged into the work of the respective other artist they do exchange art works expressing thereby mutual appreciation and appraisal.

Was soll dieser TEASI-Exchange bringen? // Which advantages does this TEASI-Exchange have?

Through the TEASI-EXCHANGE something is ‘moved forward’ both on an idealistic as well on a materialistic level:

On an idealistic level the TEASI-EXCHANGE is a trust-building procedure leading to mutual appreciation, lealty, connection, mutual empowerment, enhancement and support. On the materialistic level the monetary flow is initiated through the TEASI-EXCHANGE: the money starts to flow, which emphasizes the topic of the market value of a given art work thereby leading to an impact on realisation potential of selling art works.

In addition, one becomes a TEASI-ARTIST through the TEASI-EXCHANGE with the author and initiator of the TEASI-PROJECT – the conceptual and installation artist Susanne Kienbaum.

One becomes a member of the virtual artist group TEASI-ARTIST through the TEASI-EXCHANGE with the author and initiator of the TEASI-PROJECT – the conceptual and installation artist Susanne Kienbaum. A membership over 6 months is the prerequisite for the application for an exhibition in the framework of TEASI-ARTISTS’ LABORATORY at K: S-p-a-c-e Berlin.

Exchange exhibitions with other artist groups abroad or in other German cities are in a planning phase. Qualifiying workshops and internal offers for all TEASI-ARTISTS are part of the current project planning.

Was verstehe ich unter einem TEASI-Druck// What is a TEASI-print?

The TEASI-EXCHANGE with the initiator and author Susanne Kienbaum will be primarily documented via a simple TEASI-Document. If the TEASI-EXCHANGE leads to a participation into an exhibition the TEASI-Dokument will be transformed into a graphic art work done by Susanne Kienbaum, a numbered TEASI-PRINT (->) which will be part of the respective TEASI-ARTISTS’ LABORATORY exhibition as well as the ‘TEASI-EDITION’ (->). Both – TEASI-PRINT and TEASI-EDITION – are the resulting art products of the interactive TEASI-Project by Susanne Kienbaum. The full copyright belongs to Susanne Kienbaum.
